We’ve rounded up some events to attend, from family activities to concerts, to events that celebrate the spirit of Memorial Day.

New York is always home to some incredible events, and when you combine a national holiday honoring our country’s brave men and women who have given their lives in service to a long weekend, you can guarantee the city will put it’s best foot forward. We’ve rounded up some events to attend, from family activities to concerts, to events that celebrate the spirit of the holiday.

Each year, the Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine hosts a free Memorial Day concert featuring the New York Philharmonic to honor those brave soldiers who have fallen, and this year the stunning cathedral will be witness to the “gradual unfolding, burnished brass sonorities, soaring lyricism, and a triumphant ending” in Bruckner’s Eighth Symphony. Visit the Cathedral of St. John website for more information on time and tickets.

Visit Central Park and spend two hours with the Park’s conservationists on an exclusive walking tour covering the Park’s various military monuments. Take in the beauty of the Park during spring, all while remembering our soldiers and the sacrifices they made throughout the history of our country. While it is a free tour, space is limited so they suggest advance registration.

If you’re on the hunt for the best nightlife in NYC over the weekend, we have a few options! TAO DOWNTOWN Nightclub hosts one of their biggest events of the year, featuring DJs and dancing. Purchase tickets in advance to skip the long lines and go directly to the express line – you won’t waste any time getting straight to an exciting night!

For a unique experience, try a luxury cruise, dance the night away, and even snap photos in front of the Statue of Liberty! The tour company iBoatNYC features cruises with three floors, each with different musical experiences and VIP sections, including bottle service.

To participate in ceremonies honoring our nation’s fallen and veterans, the city plays host to some of the best! Join hundreds of veterans and citizens at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum Complex for a ceremony at Pier 86. The event is free and open to the public; learn more here.

Brooklyn will be home to the Brooklyn Memorial Day Parade, beginning at 3rd Ave. & 78th St., where soldiers of past and present generations will represent and honor the military branches. For more information on the parade, visit their site!

No matter your plans this long weekend, Delux will be there for you! We’ll get you to parades or concerts, take you home from a late night of partying, and back out for brunch! Book your rides now for the weekend.
