The Winter Show
East Side House is a charitable organization in the South Bronx that does incredible work, helping thousands of underprivileged children to access the learning resources they need for a better future. From January 20 to January 30, they will be hosting The Winter Show, a stunning collection that showcases the best of art and design.
When we say there’s something to appeal to every interest, we really mean it. The show will cover everything from Ancient Egyptian antiquities right up to contemporary American folk art. It’s held at the Park Avenue Armory, and our NYC car service can drop you right at the door.
Holiday Train Show
Here’s an event that started just before Thanksgiving at the New York Botanical Garden. If you’ve not managed to check it out yet, be sure to put it on your list for January!
The Holiday Train has become one of the great winter institutions in New York. The first was back in the early 1990s, but we think this year is the best ever. 175 of New York’s most iconic landmarks are recreated in miniature and are visited by the stunning model trains. It’s so realistic, you’ll be examining the NYBG and trying to spot yourself there.
Cinematters: NY Social Justice Film Festival
Our city has built a reputation through history as being at the forefront of social justice reform. It’s something that should make every New Yorker proud. However, there is always more to be achieved, especially in areas like racial discrimination, environmental awareness, and LGBTQ+ rights.
